Are we moving towards a permanent social and emotional
disintegration?

The Indian society, which built a deep social- emotional bond
through the process of 'meeting and feeding', 'eating and feeding', 'giving and
taking', is a clear indication of the rift in that great system.
Today India is unsuccessfully trying to find the same warmth in virtual
video conferencing. But in the virtual world, the cracks in deep emotional bonds
are clearly visible. Physical distancing is powerful enough to create cracks in
your social bond alone.
This epidemic has damaged the roots of our glorious, traditional
collectivness and sociability. Its marks are long-term or permanent living. World famous
Indian marriages are taking place in a closed room in front of closest relatives. Birthday celebrations have been confined to social media. People are
unable to attend the funeral of their closest relatives. We are not able to
give due respect to the departed souls. There is an inability to complete the
remaining rituals after death.
In future, we will meet or congratulate on the phone. Are we going towards
a permanent social disturbance? Governments can meet food, health and other
basic needs, but how will our social and emotional needs be met?
Covid -19 pandemic has shown us that defense is the best option, and nature
is omnipotent. Violation of the laws of nature in the guise of materialism is
extremely dangerous.
